Is to help high schools get the maximum benefit from their professional development budget by improving their college entrance success rate.

The Issue:
Most high school guidance departments are overworked and in this economic climate, student to counselor ratios are higher than ever before. Students are not getting the individual attention they need in order to successfully navigate the college search and application process.

The Solution:
Help your faculty and staff to become competent mentors for your students in the area of college planning. Provide workshops for your faculty and staff to make them aware of trends in the college admissions world and to prepare them to help students effectively in their college quests.

The Facts:
Effective college counseling takes place when individualized attention is given. You can maximize your schools' college planning efforts by maximizing the number of adults who can act as student mentors in this area. Don't continue to have your guidance department alone handle the burden of this responsibility; the outcome is too important for the future of your school districts' students.
